The Essentials of Mental Health

 Know the Signs and Signals

The Essentials of Mental Health presentation is fundamental to understanding mental health disorders, warning signs and signals, and how to get help.

People facing these issues often face discrimination due to stigma and experience shame. Mental health challenges can be experienced by anyone. In the workplace, attitudes toward mental health make a big difference for all employees, but especially for those experiencing these types of challenges.

Diana will present how to tell the difference between what expected behaviors are and what might be the signs of a mental illness and common mental health disorders.

She will share her story about her son’s 10-year journey to recover and how he continues to manage his mental health challenges and will also show a 5-minute video.

There will be time for Q & A, and a variety of resource information and hand-outs to take with you.

Anti-Bullying Solutions

Create Safety

Diana teaches solutions and offers realistic, proven anti-bullying techniques and demonstrate effective communication that will minimize the impact of bullying.

In this presentation, Diana shares the story of her son's years of being bullied and how it escalated into a tragic incident that caused the onset of a severe mental illness. She teaches what she learned as a parent to help her child and family survive this tragedy and ultimately recover and regain balance.

Two short videos will be shown, one from her son sharing his journey to recovery and inspires others to get help and support. The second video is a family friend and her observations about Diana's 10-year passage with her son and the strategies she learned and used to help him.

Inspiring and informative talk - a must for parents, students, and schools or anyone caring for school-age children.

Compassionate Listening Workshop

Your Lifeline to Successful Relationships!

In this hands-on seminar, Diana teaches and demonstrates Compassionate Listening Techniques and gives a range of examples that show the dramatic difference in how we listen and respond.

Diana will include real-life situations, demonstrate role-playing and engage in open discussion.

Compassionate Communication teaches how to listen with intention, ask for what you want, and gain a deeper awareness of your thoughts and feelings.

Resentment, fear, anger and unmet needs prevent us from feeling compassion. Instead, they create conflict, which makes effective communication impossible. People who learn and practice Compassionate Listening find greater authenticity in their communication, increased understanding, deepening connection, and conflict resolution.

Participants receive a Compassionate Listening Toolkit upon completion of the workshop via email.

Great for parents, couples, managers, students, and anyone who wants to improve their communication lifestyle.
